In addition to the individual student workbook, Jewish institutions, such as JCCs, community farms, and synagogues, can also host a cohort of b’nai mitzvah students to design and complete a service-learning project as a group. For cohort sites, JIFA has created a Ark Project Facilitator Guide for a lead educator (e.g. a farmer, educator, or clergy member) to facilitate a unique project. The soon-to-be-released guide includes many of the same activities as the workbook for individual students, as well as support for designing a group project that is meaningful to the students, beneficial for animals, and based on community needs.
